Ice Dawgs experience road-game troubles as the season nears its end

During the Dawgs' road trip to Pelham, AL, the team was unable to come home with a win on Jan. 15 and 16.
On Jan. 15, the Dawgs were short on manpower with 3 players serving recent suspensions; however, the Dawgs jumped out to a 4-1 lead thanks to a hat-trick by R.C. Martin, two of which were short-handed goals, and another short-handed goal by Alex Palmer. Unfortunately, the Dawgs were unable to keep up with the fast and steady pace as the manpower shortage eventually gave way to an unrelenting Alabama offense, ending the game 4-10.
Jan. 16, the Dawgs felt they would be better off with a full bench; however, endless penalties and injuries took the team off its guard and, with the exception of an early 2nd period goal by Jordan Troisi, Alabama ran away with the game ending in a 4-12 MSU defeat. The Dawgs were proud to say that there was no giving up, as the final 3 MSU goals were scored early in the 3rd period.
