The Ice Dawgs close out their first season half with another win

In front of yet another capacity crowd of over 2,100 fans, the Ice Dawgs came out swinging against the Ole Miss Rebels and finished with a 6 - 2 victory.
Only 3 minutes into the period, Josh Miller backhanded a loose rebound into the net behind Ole Miss' goalie, securing a lead early and driving the crowd wild.
Will Walker had yet another successful night, adding a goal and two assists to hold onto his lead in points for MSU Hockey. R.C. Martin continued his fantastic debut to the team with two goals, Joe Lamerson found his first goal of the home series, and Chance Morreale also found the back of the net in back-to-back games.
Goalie Michael Miller, while still seeking his first shutout, kept Ole Miss out of the net by only allowing 2 of 29 shots, securing his first win of the season.
The two capacity crowds on both nights brought in a grand total of hardly under 5,000 people to the BCS Arena. The Ice Dawg nation proved to the entire SEC that they now have the biggest and most intense crowd support in the entire conference of SECHC hockey. The Ice Dawgs would like to extend their thanks to all of their loyal fans who came out to support their hard work.
Without you, the fans, this game is not possible. Thank you for your help.
